Sporty dads and daughters, this one's for you. The UW-KJR AM Dads & Daughter event series is a chance for you to go to various U.W. women's sporting events throughout the 2008-9 season, and listen to a talk by a head or assistant coach (or student athlete) before or after each event.
Each package costs $20 -- which seems absurdly low -- and includes a ticket to two women's b-ball games (Sunday, Nov. 23 vs. Boise State and Sunday, Feb. 8 vs. Stanford), a T-shirt, a pic taken at the Nov. 23 game, and your choice of two other events.* You have to buy a package for each father and daughter -- that's 40 bucks for a season's worth of sporting events and talks.
*Choose from: women's soccer (Sunday, Oct. 19 vs. Cal), volleyball (Sunday, Nov. 9 vs. UCLA), gymnastics (Friday, Jan. 9 vs. Alaska), and softball (Saturday, April 4 vs. Arizona State).
