Make-A-Wish Foundation's Walk for Wishes, Aug. 14

Published on: December 30, 2013

mywish_groupBring the family out to Marymoor Park in Redmond on Aug. 14 to take part in the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Walk for Wishes -- and raise money so that the foundation can grant the wishes of 200 children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The foundation's Northwest chapter has granted the wishes of hundreds of kids over its 25-year history, and several of those kids will attend the walk, including  Ella Trout, a 12-year-old who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 8 months. Ella will sing "It's a Small World After All" after the walk (her wish was to go to Disneyland).

The 5K walk includes refreshments, activities for the kids, and a performance by Seattle's rock 'n' roll band for kids, The Not-Its!
