Around the World
Here’s the perfect theme for the international and traveler types. The worldly themed nursery featured over at the Nest Design Studio blog has so many clever ideas for tying the travel theme into a baby’s nursery: a map mobile, map-covered initials, framed prints in different languages, international books, and more! Bon voyage!

 In The Fun Lane nursery

A Dash of Vintage
The vintage look is trending as a baby nursery theme. We love how Momma Holly from In the Fun Lane mixes in just the right amount of vintage pieces for her daughter’s precious nursery. The classic armoire, mirror, and chandelier, countered with the more modern chair and fresh color scheme make for a dreamy baby oasis. Head over to the full post for impressive before and after photos.

 Prairie Hive nursery

Music & Lyrics
For the music-loving family, this artsy nursery featured over at Prairie Hive hits all the right notes. Some of the details include framed record sleeves, a framed David Bowie onesie, guitar art, and baby instruments. Head over to the full post to see the details up close and get inspired to create your own version. What about adding framed sheet music? Or concert posters? So groovy!

 Decor Pad nursery

Roughin’ It
Bring a touch of the outdoors inside with this idea for a rustic-themed nursery featured over at Décor Pad (by Sherry Hart Designs). The reclaimed barn door, faux fur rug, and leather accents are unexpected nursery details that add up to a unique theme for the outdoorsy family.

 Our Dream Foreclosure nursery

Stripes & Dots
The “all white” trend is nice is theory (um, babies are messy, remember?), but this idea over at Our Dream Foreclosure uses silver and yellow accents to bring a little life to a white nursery. Almost all of the projects in the nursery are handmade, refurbished, or repurposed – a budget-minded family’s dream! Some of our favorite touches include the silver contact paper polka dots, DIY fabric-covered valance, and diaper storage solution.

 Hungry Caterpillar room

Story Time
Turn a timeless children’s book classic into a nursery theme like Mama Jaime of Ever So Blessed did with the Very Hungry Caterpillar. From the colorful mural, to painting of memorable scenes from the book, we love every corner of this room! With all the wonderful books out there, there are hundreds of themes to choose from. What is your little one’s fave book?

 Jungle theme nursery

It’s a Jungle
Not your average jungle theme of cartoony animals and cheesy wallpaper borders, this idea featured over at Hello Bee is a fresh modern take. The dark shades of wood, crisp blues, and minimalist animal shapes are a pleasant change from the jungle themes we’re familiar with. Head over to the full post to see the other wild touches Mama Laura added to the room – like a zoo mobile and felt deer head!

 Minimalist nursery

Less is More
A baby’s space should be calming for both baby and mom. This idea by graphic designer Mom Mindy and featured over at Chic & Cheap Nursery could almost pass for the lobby of a day spa! With bright and comfy details like a simple art wall and fluffy futon, we wouldn’t mind spending all of our time here. Head over to the full post for some great design tips and a closer look at the projects.

 Pop art nursery

What’s Poppin’?
If color is your thing, then this idea for a pop-art-inpspired nursery featured over at Project Nursery (by Mom Celeste from The Twin Source) is just the ticket. The art-loving parents of twins took a trip to a New York City museum’s art store to gather the focal pieces for the room. The addition of a few more bold and modern pieces (love that rug!) created a colorful room fit for two.

 Preppy theme nursery

Preppy Baby
This smart baby nursery featured over at Newly Woodwards has so many preppy and scholarly touches we love, like: a houndstooth-patterned quilt, monogrammed toy bins, a retro school desk, and a giant-sized ruler growth chart. The navy and white color scheme is the perfect backdrop for all of the special touches. Head over to the full post for Mama Kim’s full list of projects and her original inspiration board for the room – amazing!
