ParentMap, August 2013

Happy summer! With school out and the most fun season in high swing, we need to bask in the sunlight and enjoy these long days as much as we can. Check into our wave-washed beach guide for 15 gorgeous spots to dig, swim and explore!

This month we celebrate the wide spectrum of families, and the determination with which some parents build theirs, in our feature story Adoption Option (which is also resource- and support-rich).

Before the surge of back-to-school madness, take time to kick back (hopefully on the beach) with our exploration of why cliques are starting as young as age 4 for some girls (and what to do about it), and reassuring advice for both parents of new babies and those heading off to college soon.

Happy summer days, and happy parenting!
