Free (and cheap) holiday light shows

We have an entire guide dedicated to splendiferous holiday light shows, and it includes at least one super-splurge. We’re picking out a handful of freebies and cheapies to include here, at your free-holiday-fun-seeking fingertips!

Wintertide Lights turns Everett’s Evergreen Arboretum into a forest of sparkle. Take a wander for free, Dec. 1–31. Check Facebook for updates and details.

Redmond Lights celebrates art, culture and community and lights up the town. Free, Dec. 1–Jan. 3.

Renton Winter Lights decorates Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park for free enjoyment by all, Dec. 1–Jan. 1.

Garden d’Lights is an enchanting and affordable holiday light show, loved by many families. Buy timed-entry tickets online, and note that a handful of weeknights offer discounted $5 admission; kids ages 10 younger are free on any night. (Tickets are required and will not be sold at the door.) Garden d’Lights is open nightly Nov. 25–Dec. 31 (closed Dec. 25).
