The biggest freebie going on this weekend is the YMCA's Healthy Kids Day celebration -- Ys all over the region are throwing parties that include music by the Not-Its!, pirate hoopla, Rat City Roller Girls, free tees to the first 100 kids through the door (don't push!), nature walks, bouncy houses, healthful snacks and...and...and...check it out.
Then there's Earth Day -- lots going on this weekend and next. People for Puget Sound is hosting work parties on the Duwamish River, followed by a family festival in the afternoon; look for pinwheel mini energy stations near the Green Lake Playground; and do crafts at BAM and Olympic Sculpture Park.
