Outdoor pools and water parks

Vashon Pool, Vashon

Vashon Island’s outdoor community pool has reopened, with a few safety changes: The first phase of reopening is for lap swimming only, with timed advance reservations required. No boards or other equipment are available (you’re welcome to bring your own), and shower and locker rooms remain closed, so have a plan for changing (the restrooms are open). The next step is limited group lessons and reserved family swim times; check back for updates.

Wild Waves Theme & Water Park, Federal Way

Puget Sound’s biggest and most beloved water park, Wild Waves is still aiming to open this summer, but keeps having to adjust its opening date. Check the website and Facebook page for updates. Over 60 thrill-tastic rides, splashy slides and attractions for all ages and abilities await, with planned new health and sanitation measures (check website for details).
