Our mission at Garden Ridge Preschool is to support your child’s learning across all the developmental domains for early childhood education. This includes preparing your child for the transition into kindergarten, and beyond. We do this by offering a program staffed with the experienced and educated teachers. Your child will have two teachers that hold Bachelor’s degrees in early education. Families at Garden Ridge Preschool will find that their child will gain the skills needed to be successful in elementary education. Parents may take comfort in the fact that we created a curriculum that meets the learning expectations of the Washington State educational requirements.
Here at Garden Ridge we offer a safe and stimulating environment where the curious learner can explore and develop a love of learning that they can carry throughout their educational years. Our curriculum combines the best teaching methods to foster and allow discovery, self-development, and empathy while learning basic academic skills.
At Garden Ridge Preschool you will see a robust integration of learning philosophies, such as the Project-Based and Reggio Emilia methods, which focus on long-term child-centered learning. Interest areas will appear that are intended to provoke curiosity, learning and investigation. We have some Montessori elements in our school as well. We have taught for years using some of these components and find them invaluable to our educational space. We have solid pre-phonics and literacy programs. In addition our child-centered learning helps to keep motivation up and foster investigation. We celebrate the joy of learning and we encourage your child to question and explore.
Things that we teach that make us unique; currently we offer Cooking, Entomology, Yoga, Gardening, Sign Language and German as part of you child’s learning experience.
