TechVenture Kids

At our TechVenture Summer Coding and Maker Camps, kids and teens are given the tools and skills to create technology. In our Summer Coding and Maker Camps they acquire and strengthen the 21st Century skills of computational and systems thinking within the context of things they already love - games and electronics.

All of our Camps combine short lessons with lots of hands-on coding projects and a good dose of traditional, outdoor summer fun and games time! With at least one instructor for every 8 kids, we strive to make these camps fun and rewarding for every kid. We encourage students to let their imagination run wild while they design and build. Along the way they develop their skills in math, digital art, problem solving, engineering and more.

We provide use of computers and other equipment - including a kit to assemble a working computer and our new, cool, red, Cannon, digital cameras for photography camps!

Our most popular camps are SCRATCH- drag and drop coding for ages 7-14 and Learn to Code with MINECRAFTfor ages 8 and up.

Kids learn how to create Games and Mods for Games, Puzzles, Mazes, Quizzes, Animated Stories and Comics - integrating favorite characters from Minecraft, Frozen, Starwars or other popular fiction in addition to creating their own characters to animate.

Our newest camps for elementary school kids include even more hands-on activities. Try our BUILD A COMPUTER, PLAY MINECRAFT camp or learn how to take and edit photos in our new DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY camp! Also, try our WEB PAGE DESIGN camp and learn to use your own photos to build your own webpage, as a stand alone half day or combine with Digital Photography camp for a full day!

For older kids, we offer an Make Games with Python a camp for middle school students in grades 6-9 and Build with Arduino a maker camp.

We will host camps in Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie and Renton this summer.
