Just in time for Mardi Gras, Whozyamama lets all sorts of good times roll with Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco two-steps and waltzes in the traditional style of southern Louisiana. With a band built from members of Les Femmes d’Enfer, Bayou Boogie, The New Riders of the Quimper Grange, the Del Rays, Louisiana Purchase, and Cayenne, there is no shortage of expertise to pull off Cajun French lyrics, twin fiddles, the rubboard—and, if you ask nicely, a dance demo of the basic Cajun two-step and waltz. Presented by Town Hall. Series media sponsorship provided by ParentMap and KEXP. Downstairs at Town Hall; enter on Seneca Street. Adults without accompanying children $25.
