Award-winning wildlife photographer Suzi Eszterhas is one of the only women in her competitive, adventure-filled industry. Eszterhas specializes in documenting the family life of endangered species and travels around the world photographing wild newborns including lions, cheetahs, tigers, gorillas, orangutans, penguins, bears, and sea otters. A fellow of the prestigious International League of Conservation Photographers, Eszterhas’ work has been featured on the cover of Time magazine, as well as on ABC.com and Today.com. Tonight Eszterhas shares anecdotes and technical expertise from her work photographing animals in their wild habitats: how she composes photos while on elephant-back in India, how she keeps herself safe while working with grizzlies, how animals respond to her and her camera, and how her photography can help raise awareness of the problems facing wildlife today. (On Feb. 2, Eszterhas introduces a new series of children’s books, Eye on the Wild, in a special Town Hall Family event.) Presented by Town Hall as part of its Arts & Culture series, with University Book Store.
