Huck Finn is one of the iconic characters in the American literary canon, and despite controversy and even censorship, Mark Twain's revolutionary novel has become a beloved classic. To escape his drunken, abusive father, Huck fakes his own death and embarks on a series of grand adventures down river, accompanied by an escaped slave, Jim. Twain’s nuanced depiction of a black man as a fully-realized human being presented a moral awakening for American readers in 1885 and set the course for future generations of writers. Book-It will perform this novel uncensored. Conceived by Jane Jones & Judd Parkin. Adapted by Judd Parkin and directed by Jane Jones.
