//Bellevue Discovery is a non-profit organization focused on early childhood gifted education.//
Our preschool has a **1:4 teacher-child ratio**, allowing us to know our children well and support their individual gifts and challenges. We follow best practices in early gifted education (see _www.nagc.org_) and focus on **nurturing relationships, creative curriculum, and long-term projects that support higher level thinking**.
We are a part-time preschool in downtown Bellevue located on 4 acres of property - including a pea patch. Because we are a small preschool (24 children, ages 3-5), we are not able to offer before or after school care.
Most families who apply to Bellevue Discovery learn about our preschool through word-of-mouth – alumni families, local IQ testers or the admissions directors at local independent gifted schools. Around **80% of our graduates move on to gifted programs** in public and private schools, with one-third moving on to Open Window and almost 20% moving on to Seattle Country Day School over the last 8 years.
