Prepare for the next big earthquake and other disasters by attending an emergency preparation workshop at several of The Seattle Public Library's locations this fall.
Seattle Neighborhoods Actively Prepare (SNAP) workshops, presented by the Seattle Office of Emergency Management, are free and open to the public. Registration is required. To sign up for a workshop, email SNAP@seattle.gov or call 206-233-5076. Free parking is available at the branch libraries.
Workshop attendees will hear from local emergency management experts about what they can do to prepare their families and homes to be safe in an emergency or disaster. The workshop will include information about the city’s new emergency alert and notification system, AlertSeattle. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A session with one of the city of Seattle's hazard specialists.
