Watch your child’s confidence grow while learning the graceful Brazilian martial art form of Capoeira. In this creative and fun class, children learn elements of Afro-Brazilian culture through martial art, music, dance, song and storytelling. Basic movements and rhythms of Capoeira Regional are taught through exercises and games that help improve flexibility, agility, reflexes, balance, concentration and gross motor coordination.
Children also learn about the essential music and instruments of Capoeira by clapping, singing, and learning how to play and recognize the sounds of the Pandeiro, A-go-go, Atabaque and Berimbau. The class is taught in Portuguese and English, enhancing language and communication skills.
