This STEAM event will explore the science behind sound and music. Children will create their own maracas and tambourines, and learn how to craft a cup that imitates the sound of a chicken.

The Seattle Public Library invites families with children ages 5 and up to drop-in for activities arranged around science, technology, engineering, art and mathematical (STEAM) themes at the Greenwood Library.

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available in the underground garage. Enter and exit the garage on North 81st Street.

For more information, call the Library at 206-684-4086 or Ask a Librarian on the SPL.org website.

Space is limited at library events. Please come early to make sure you get a seat. Due to the fire code, we can’t exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.
