As an Amara volunteer, your skills and experiences will help us meet the needs of our kids and families every day. Amara offers a variety of different volunteer opportunities and we are dedicated to providing child-focused training and ongoing support to help you feel confident in your role. + Work with kids in their first few days of foster care at one of our Emergency Sanctuaries (in Seattle and opening in Tacoma) + Childcare for other Amara programs + Internships and administrative support Information sessions last a little less than an hour, and cover Amara’s history, mission, and current programs to serve children at the Emergency Sanctuary and families looking to foster and adopt, and how volunteers play an important role of our team.
