DESCRIPTION:Big Day of Play is a celebration of Seattle’s diversity and it encourages neighbors\, communities and families to have fun\, build relationships and be active together. It’s a day to truly play your way! \nPast event highlights Include: \n-Community Resource Fair featuring over 50 local organizations and businesses\n-Youth and family activities\, including bounce houses and sports challenges/clinics\n-Main stage performances from local artists and cultural groups\n-Appearances from the Seattle Sounders\, Reign\, Mariners and more!\n-Free water activities\, including paddleboarding\, kayaking\, rowing and sailing\n-Adaptive and inclusive sport offerings in partnership with Seattle Adaptive Sports\n-Second annual Big Day of Play Fun Run in partnership with Citywide Athletics\n-Block party featuring art activities\, face painting\, a caricaturist and interactive games\n-Tennis and pickleball competitions in partnership with Amy Yee Tennis Center\n-3-on-3 and 5-on-5 basketball tournaments from the Seattle Teen Late Night Hoop League \nPresented by Seattle Parks and Recreation’s “Get Moving Initiative.” \nIn-person activities are held on:\nSaturday\, Aug. 16\, 2025\nAt the following locations: \nRainier Playfields\n3700 S.
