Get ready for Seattle’s Official Lunar New Year Festival in the Chinatown-International District!
Starting at 11am at Hing Hay Park (at S. King St. and Maynard Ave S), the neighborhood will blossom with families, foodies, and visitors enjoying the tastes and sounds of authentic Asian cuisine and cultural entertainment in the newly expanded Hing Hay Park!
- Browse through the streets of Chinatown-ID and taste a range of Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai food, and more from local vendors and shop unique arts and crafts from small artists.
- Vibrant Lion and Dragon dances, rhythmical Japanese Taiko drumming, Chinese martial arts demonstrations and other multi-cultural entertainment on the main entertainment stage with hands-on Asian arts projects for the whole family.
- 11th Annual Lunar New Year $3 Food Walk presented by CIDBIA with $3 menu items, featuring over 40 international restaurants, this year’s Food Walk will offer up everything from traditional dim sum and chow mein, to fan favorites jalapeño chicken wings. Attendees who sample five (or more) participating restaurants will be eligible to enter a drawing for a C-ID gift basket filled with delicious treats and items that highlight the neighborhood!
- Children and adults are invited to show off their best cultural New Year’s outfits in the costume parade, presented by Northwest Asian Weekly.
