DESCRIPTION:Hey Covington! You are invited to an America 250th Birthday Party on Friday\, July 31 at Covington Community Park! \nJoin us to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary beginning at 5:30 p.m. with activities and booths. Then at 6:10 p.m. we will have the presentation of colors\, singing of the national anthem\, a presentation from our “What Makes America Beautiful” speech contest winner\, and birthday cake\, of course! Following the celebration\, we will have our summer concert with Groove Nation from 6:30-8 p.m.\, followed by more activities and food trucks\, then our Outdoor Family Movie featuring National Treasure at 9 p.m. \nWe are excited to have Alder Tree Education on hand to lead a kids pioneer workshop where kids aged 3-12 and their families are encouraged to learn what life was like for pioneer kids featuring pioneer games\, a pioneer cabin\, writing on slate\, puzzles\, touching wool and more. \n5:30-6:30 p.m. Booths\, Lawn Games\, Pioneer Activities\, Raffle\n6:10 p.m. Presentation of Colors\, National Anthem\, Speech\, Cake\n6:30-8 p.m. Live Music: Groove Nation\n8-9 p.m. Food Trucks\, Activities\n9-11 p.m. Outdoor Family Movie: National Treasure \nP.S.
