Hand-Stitched Cityscapes
Saturday, June 3rd, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
In the museum, families will gather inspiration from the Urban Scenes of Seattle exhibit and then head to the maker studio to learn about ways to artfully reuse textiles. Participants will explore Boro stitching—the art of repairing and embellishing fabric— and other fabric collage techniques to create a Cityscape-inspired patchwork wall hanging with a colorful array of fabrics and embroidery floss stitched and pasted together.
