December 9:
This workshop will begin with a guided art adventure in the galleries of Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence from the Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
In the art studio, families explore woodcut printing, a type of relief printmaking in which a block of wood is carved, leaving the raised image. The ink is applied to the raised areas and is pressed onto the paper through a printing press or by hand. All participants are invited to try their hand at the printmaking process using blocks designed by artist, Juliana Kang Robinson.
Tiny Tots Workshops are designed to tailor to the needs of families with children ages 2–5.
Tickets are $35 for one adult and up to 2 kids for the public and $20 for SAM members. Additional participants are $10 each, members included.
