Magnuson Children’s Garden Free Classes and Stewardship Events

Calendar/Event Details

We were delighted to host in-person, free garden classes and community stewardship events again this year.

We require pre-registration for all our classes and stewardship events, in order to provide a good teacher-to-attendees ratio, and a good garden-leader-to-volunteer ratio

Free garden classes every 2nd Saturday from April – October:

  • A great chance for families and adults to learn from Master Gardeners and other local garden educators about a variety of sustainable gardening methods, including soil building, plant health care, food growing, attracting pollinators, and more!

Garden stewardship events every 2nd Saturday from April – October:

  • Led by Master Gardeners and other local garden experts, these volunteer events are great chance for hands-on learning and practicing of sustainable gardening methods, while helping keep this wonderful Children’s Garden beautiful and thriving!

Weekday stewardship opportunities:

  • These small-group events are led by veteran MGs, to provide 1st and 2nd year MG interns with mentoring and experience in sustainable gardening practices, as well as to enhance their knowledge and confidence to teach these practices to the public.
