Join us for a gnome home building contest! During the month of May gather your friends and family together and construct a gnome home, for fun, comradery, and prizes.
The kick off for this month long event will be Saturday, May 1st!
Join us from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the North Kirkland Community Center for the opportunity to select from organic materials the Parks staff has gathered to get you going on your build.
Green Knight Nursery will be there for a miniature and small plant sale at wholesale prices!

Criteria:
- Use all organic material sticks, stones, foliage found on ground
- Build no bigger than 12" x 12" squared
- Keep homes at ground level, off of walkways
- No profanities used in any way
- Small figurines are permitted
Gnome Home contest details: After you have registered, build your home and place it in a Kirkland Park of your choice. Take a picture of your home in the park and send it to tcobb@kirklandwa.gov, indicate which of the categories below you feel best fits your home, and don't forget to include your name in the e-mail! Submissions will be judged on June 1st, winners will be contacted June 2nd.
