The Goatalympics

Calendar/Event Details

Held annually, this free, family-friendly event is ridiculously entertaining! The Goatalympics is not your typical livestock event. Rather than focus on conformation and production, as seen at a typical County Fair, the Goatalympics is all about having fun with pet goats. Come watch goats and their people compete in foot races, obstacle courses and more. Take your guess as to who will win Best Trick, Most Spots, Longest Beard and other exciting contests. Vote in the People’s Choice Awards for Adult and Youth costume contests. Every year, this event gets bigger and better – 2016 drew a crowd of over 1,000 spectators, contestants and their goats. Participants of all ages, from toddlers to grandmas, entertained the crowd and had a great time doing it.

Of course, there are always adorable, adoptable goats at the Goatalympics for people to meet. In addition to being a fun celebration of goats, the Goatalympics helps to raise money for New Moon Farm.

The Goatalympics are open to all ages! Classes are separated into the 12 and under group, and 13 and over. We have as many adults participate as we do children.

This event is FREE. Contestants pay an entry fee per class ($10). Details on classes and entry fees will be available soon.
