SUMMARY:Halloween Train
DESCRIPTION:Every October\, the Northwest Railway Museum invites families to ride the train or drive up to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall for some extra-special\, family-friendly\, harvest time fun. The passenger coaches are adorned with autumn foliage\, slightly spooky decor can be found all around the Train Shed Exhibit Hall and the Snoqualmie Depot\, and on the weekends families can enjoy hot cider and live cider pressing demonstrations. Costumes encouraged for visitors of all ages! \nLearn how the railway changed everything – including agriculture! \nHalloween Train is just shy of 2-hours round-trip and departs from Snoqualmie Depot and North Bend Depot. \nYou will first ride up to Snoqualmie Falls to see the scenic view of the Snoqualmie River Valley from the train\, next you will ride to the Railway History Campus (RHC) for a half-hour visit. \nIn and around the Train Shed Exhibit Hall will be a bunch of activities! A volunteer will do cider press demonstrations\, and may ask for a hand from one of the visitors. Nearby\, Museum staff will have apple peeling and coring tools to try out. Inside the Train Shed\, you will find crafts\, plenty of photo opportunities\, and live music performed by Eric Ode! \nThirsty? You can find hot cider available inside the Railway Education Center classroom just across the courtyard. There will also be historic toys and games available to play! \nThe train horn will sound four times to let you know when it is time to board the train for your return ride. If you want more time at the RHC\, you are welcome to drive over after your train ride. Just show your train ticket and get back in for free! \nImage sourced from event website.
