Curiosity speeds into action at PacSci with HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever, an exciting new interactive exhibition. How fast is your slap shot? What’s the science behind scoring like a pro? How will Seattle shape this fast-moving sport?

HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever, focuses on the history, culture, and science of hockey. Guests can fully immerse themselves in the world of hockey with over 20 hands-on interactives centered around key skills crucial to the sport. In addition to the interactives, PacSci partnered with the Kraken to develop specially curated local content highlighting the future of hockey, Seattle style.

Long before the Seahawks, Mariners, Storm, Sounders, Reign, or Sonics, Seattle was a hockey town. The Seattle Metropolitans were the first American hockey team to win the Stanley Cup in 1917. The team’s legacy lives on through their pioneering innovations and contributions to rules still in use by the NHL today. This innovative spirit will return to the ice with the Kraken’s inaugural season in Climate Pledge Arena, and with it, a curiosity for our community’s newest professional sport.

Read about one "non-sports family" awesome experience at the exhibit.
