Are you craving a treat to make your day a little extra special! Let’s stir up some fun in the kitchen together! We’ll have special guest, Kirkland Children’s Librarian, Gaye Hinchliff, join us as we decorate fun animal sandwiches and prep delicious popsicles. Wrap-up the day listening to a story.
Sandwich Ingredients
bread
toppings (anything you’ll eat but think of decorating), peanut butter, jelly, fruit, cheese, cucumber, hard boiled egg, tomato, lettuce, olives, carrots, sandwich meat, etc.
Popsicle Ingredients
- 6 oz. fresh ripe berries or other fruit (chopped)
- 1 cups full-fat plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/8 cup honey
Feel free to double the recipe!
Sandwich Supplies
Cookie cutters
Knife & cutting board (decorating animal or people facial features)
pencil and paper if you want to draw it out before making final product
Popsicle Supplies
popsicle molds or DIY (popsicle sticks, ice cube trays, loaf pan with parchment paper, paper cups, etc.)
