DESCRIPTION:Formerly known as Plant Camp\, Made in SLU is a crafting series held every other week from May 27th to October 28th\, 2026\, in collaboration with Good Blooms (formerly SLU Bouquet). These unique events are free and open to everyone\, offering a fantastic opportunity to unleash your creativity and take home your handmade creations each time. \nHow Do I Join In? \nEach event will be held at Nitro Plaza from 12 pm to 3 pm. This is a walk-up event\, operating on a first-come\, first-served basis due to limited space. To sign up for Made in SLU\, simply scan the QR code on the “Check In” signage at the event—no pre-registration required. \nGiven the popularity of this event\, wait times can vary\, so please be patient as we work to accommodate everyone. Each craft can be completed in about 30 minutes or less\, making it a perfect choice for a quick mid-day break. \nCheck out the full series schedule and craft descriptions below\, we can’t wait to see what you create! \nMay 27 — Propagation Station Guests create a simple hanging propagation station using a glass test tube and fresh plant cuttings. \nJune 10 — Floral Stem Bar A seasonal stem bar featuring locally grown flowers for guests to arrange in bud vases. \nJune 24 — Moss Soccer Field (World Cup Theme) A playful mini soccer field crafted with preserved moss\, sand field lines\, and tiny goal accents. \nJuly 8 — Botanical Stamp Making Guests carve their own botanical-inspired stamp and print floral patterns onto paper goods. \nJuly 22 — Eucalyptus Wreath A fragrant\, minimalist wreath made from fresh eucalyptus. \nAugust 5 — Tropical Plant Garden A small tropical plant arrangement using lush foliage plants. \nAugust 19 — Botanical Tote Bag Guests use hand-carved botanical stamps and fabric ink to decorate a reusable tote. \nSeptember 2 — Plant Pennants Decorative handmade pennants to place in houseplants. \nSeptember 16 — Mounted Mini Staghorn A small staghorn fern mounted on a wooden plaque with moss. \nSeptember 30 — Pressed Flower Art Delicate pressed flowers arranged between clear panels to create botanical art. \nOctober 14 — Floral & Moss Pumpkin Topper Seasonal pumpkins decorated with preserved moss and dried florals. \nOctober 28 — Pumpkin Decorating A festive\, hands-on pumpkin decorating session to close out the season.n designs.
