DESCRIPTION:Join SU alumna Dr. Laura Marie Rivera for a Scholar Spotlight conversation on leadership\, Motherhood\, and the power of lived experience. \nLaura Marie Rivera\, Ed.D.\, is a Mother\, artist\, educator\, and researcher whose work explores the intersection of Motherhood and leadership. She has spent more than two decades working across education\, the arts\, advocacy\, and political strategy\, and is a proud co-author of the international bestseller Beyond the Pipeline: Redefining Value\, Success\, and the Future of Women in STEMM—Together. \nA distinctive aspect of her education is the commitment to forming the whole person—mind\, body\, and spirit—preparing students and parents for meaningful professional impact. Laura Marie’s research asks a bold question: what if we fully recognized the leadership skills developed outside of the paid workplace? \nAs the Mother of four children\, she has experienced firsthand the high-stakes decision-making\, resilience\, advocacy\, and long-term vision required to raise a family.
