This music therapy group is open to students ages 12 and up for teens with differing needs and abilities that love to sing or simply enjoy music. During a time of isolation and fear, let’s come together and be joyful with one another by lifting our voices in our favorite songs! Singing has proven to reduce stress and anxiety and build resilience! In this class, participants will learn to express themselves musically by singing with others and exploring a variety of musical styles. Singing and making music also enhances attention skills, social skills, cognitive skills, as well as speech and communication skills. Materials will be provided online through screen sharing and google drive. If you have access to a phone, iPad, laptop, or computer, all you need is to bring a song in your heart!
Register by the first class on June 6th. Class is held every Saturday, 2:30-3:20 p.m., June 6-27.
