SUMMARY:The Young People's March for Peace and Kindness
DESCRIPTION:The Young People’s March for Peace and Kindness is an annual opportunity to bring kids together on Martin Luther King Day to share their voices and get their opinions heard. It begins at the library\, where we gather to write and draw letters to leaders and heroes. (Addresses\, materials\, and inspiration provided.) \nBring signs with messages of peace and kindness to carry. At 11:15\, we march together from the library to the Post Office to mail our letters. We’ll end with song. \nDress appropriately for the weather. We will joyfully be walking rain or shine! \nThis event is held with thanks to Bainbridge Island School District\, Kitsap Regional Library\, BISD Multicultural Advisory Council\, and with support from our sponsor\, Charter Real Estate.
