French American School of Puget Sound

Description

The French American School of Puget Sound offers excellence in bilingual education from Young Pre-Kindergarten (age 3) to Grade 8. Our seamless blend of the French and American educational philosophies creates a multicultural context for learning that permeates the four walls of the classroom and remains with each student for the rest of his or her life. FASPS students become bilingual, view the world from an international perspective, participate actively in a diverse school community, and enjoy the challenges of a distinctive academic program accredited by the French Ministry of Education and the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS). Our team of highly-qualified teachers combines the best of the French and American curricula into a harmonized and effective program, allowing our students to develop advanced skills in all subjects. Our students have access to over 23,000 books in our multilingual library that includes books in French, English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. They participate in a vibrant extra-curricular program with a wide spectrum of offerings, from iPad animation to yoga, and play competitively in sports across the Seattle area. Our community is more diverse than ever, with over 50 nationalities represented in our student body. No French language experience is required in YPK, Pre-Kindergarten, or Kindergarten. FASPS is conveniently located just off I-90 in Mercer Island, with daily bus service in Seattle available. Financial Aid is available. Please contact Patricia Blaise-Caves, Director of Admissions & Financial Aid at 206-275-3533 x 275 or patriciab@fasps.org for more information. Weekly tours are available throughout the year, and our Pre-School/Elementary Open House will take place on January 9, 2016. For dates and further information, visit www.fasps.org/page/admissions.
