South Puget Sound Community College Parent Education
Once each week, parents and children attend classes together. Topics covered include developmental stages, communication, discipline, self-esteem, temperament, appropriate limit setting, social-emotional needs, nutrition, sleep issues and respect. The classes also provide parent-child interaction time through age appropriate activities in art and music. Parent-child classes cover ages birth through four years. Adult only classes meet once each week and cover parent-child communication, family dynamics, parenting in a single parent, step and blended family and parenting children ages five to ten years.
