8 Limbs is the place to go for yoga with over 100 classes per week in four neighborhood studios (Capitol Hill, Phinney Ridge, Wedgwood, West Seattle). Whether you seek strength and flexibility, or a more inward yoga practice, you can follow your path at 8 Limbs with our diverse offering of teaching styles and levels, including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Gentle, Restorative, Prenatal, Postnatal, Kids, Tween, and Family Yoga. We have built a solid reputation for quality yoga instruction in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. KIDS YOGA Yoga helps kids get in touch with their bodies, strengthen and relax their muscles, and develop coordination, focus, and confidence. We will practice kid-style asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing) in a playful, supportive, and safe environment. Through experiential games we introduce the yamas (how to treat others) and the niyamas (how to treat yourself), deepening a child's sense of respect and awareness. Yoga is universal! It's not dogmatic - just healthy fun! Drop your kids off at yoga, and have an hour to yourself. KIDS YOGA AND ART CAMPS In the summer, 8 Limbs offers one-week-long half-day yoga camps. Sessions are divided by age and taught by experienced yoga and art instructors. Camp :will include some excursions to libraries and parks and are held Monday through Friday, 12:00 - 3:30pm. TWEEN YOGA Yoga offers techniques for self-awareness, and thus connects us to inner peace. It helps us deal with life situations from a position of calm and strength. Yoga can be an important sanctuary for "tweens", a place to develop self-confidence as well as focus while having fun! This series will engage girls aged 10 – 13 through asana practice, meditation, and breath practices.
