Liberty High School is committed to providing rigor and support for all students to succeed. Students attend classes on a “block schedule,” giving them in-depth, concentrated exposure to integrated subjects. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in 1998, Liberty offers a robust curriculum, including Advanced Placement (AP) classes. The award-winning school newspaper “Patriot Press” has been recognized with an overall excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists, Western Washington Chapter and a Best of Show third place in the Murrow School of Journalism High School Contest. As the result of a February 2006 bond, Liberty will receive a new performing arts center, 10 additional classrooms, and two upgraded science classrooms. The bell from Liberty’s namesake ship hangs at the recently remodeled entrance and echoes the strong traditions for which it is ceremoniously rung.
