Kennydale Elementary School

There are three things that help make students successful: Involved parents, dedicated staff, and a caring culture. Kennydale has these three pillars of support. Being involved is a daily expression of interest and concern for what is being learned. Every day we need to ask our students, “What did you learn today?” Dedication of the staff means that we believe and are committed to the reality that every child can learn and will learn to the best of their ability. We know that students achieve more when they sense respect, acceptance, and kindness. These values are the foundation of our rules and actions toward all members of our learning community. Another aspect of Kennydale is that we believe our children are being educated for a purpose: fulfillment and employment. We address this purpose by being a college bound community. We want our students to know that their education leads to something beyond school. This may take the form of attending a university, community college, trade school, or substantial employment. We believe that education forms the basis for having many opportunities to be fulfilled and employed. The question of further education is not an “if” but a “when.”
