Youth Theatre Northwest enters its 32nd summer inspired by years of experience and the boundless enthusiasm of our youth. Centrally located on Mercer Island, our camps are just a bridge away from the Seattle shoreline and the Eastside. Perfect for the busy parent, our camps are half day or full day and one week or longer. YTN has a summer full of opportunities providing a broad range of classes for students ages 3-18: • Creative Drama classes for our youngest students directs their natural imaginative play to explore beloved stories in a whole new way. • Elementary students will perform song and dance reviews, tunes they’ll be singing in the car for months to come. Other classes include text based curriculum. • Advanced students can study specialized drama skills: stage combat, dialect, acting for the camera, song and dance, and much more. Just like last year, we are offering aftercare camp for our K-2 campers, loaded with summer fun. Ready for a fully staged show? Our Performance Series Program is an in-depth introduction to the world of theatrical production. Not only do the students serve as actors, they study design elements and get a small taste of what goes into “putting on a show.” With all of our drama programs, students develop an abundance of essential life skills: confidence, teamwork, creative thinking, self-expression, communication and time management. And most important to them, students will make new friendships that will continue long after summer is gone. Summer camps are June-August. For a full camp roster, class descriptions and online registration, visit YouthTheatre.org or call 206-232-4145, ext. 100, for guidance from our Registrar. New students receive a 25% discount and scholarships are available.
