Since opening our doors in 2013, NPSA has grown to serve over 500 players and now 25 teams providing Mercer Island and Bellevue with a genuine premier youth soccer program. The sole purpose of NPSA is player development and making the learning process fun and enjoyable for players and families. In addition, NPSA is highly competitive cost-wise with neighboring clubs. All players are not the same in terms of development, commitment level and speed of learning so each individual is placed in a team environment that is suited for them to develop and improve at their own pace. NPSA provides a pathway for players to achieve their personal goals: to be a professional, to play at college, to make the high school team or just to have fun and keep fit. Whatever ambitions players may have, NPSA helps each player realize his or her dreams. The coaching staff develops players in the technical, tactical, physical and psychological components of the game and teaches other important attributes such as commitment, good sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, respect for self and others and an ability to learn from both winning and losing. It has to be a collective effort, with the parents and players being just as important in any successful youth soccer organization as the people that run it. Above all it is about the players and giving them the platform to develop not only as athletes but as young people.
