Each summer Zestful Gardens offers eight weeks of fun, facts, and food for kids ages 4-10, with specialty camps for older kids ages 9-12. Each week is individually themed and taught by four experienced, knowledgeable teachers. There will be about 28 children often split into two groups. Each day includes farm chores, theme based projects, songs, stories, and a hearty mid-morning snack of organic fruits and vegetables picked fresh from the farm. Farm Camp is a good way to experience a working farm. Feeding the pigs and chickens, weeding the garden, harvesting vegetables and fruit, and eating fruits and vegetables from the farm, together with observing the farm in action are some of the ways in which campers will have access to the farm. Our mid-morning snack will be fruits and vegetables from the farm. Farm to fork is more than a catchy phrase, the campers will have that experience every day. 2016 Camp Themes June 20-24: Animals, Bugs, & Critters June 27- July 1st: Wooly Wonders July 11- July 15: Wool Whimsy July 11-15: Farm Foraging with Kids ages 9-12 July 18-22: Wildcrafting with Mud July 18-22: Farm Art with Kids ages 9-12 July 25-29: Pickle-It!
