About Queen Leslie:
Leslie Smith is the 2025 National American Miss Washington! She is a graduate student at the University of Washington and just completed a 10 month graduate teaching residency program at Islandwood in partnership with the UW. She lives almost full time on her 35 foot sailboat, Kichyat! The name Kichyat came with the boat and is the Tinglit name for the Artic Tern. Leslie loves teaching and sailing, in fact, she used to teach sailing! She loves sharing about life on the water and life as a casual sailor.
