Summer Session: August 3rd -August 18th (3 weeks)
The Junior Farmers program invites young naturalists to deepen their understanding of farming, nature, and environmental stewardship through immersive, hands-on experiences. This half-day summer program challenges children to observe carefully, experiment thoughtfully, and contribute meaningfully to the farm and natural ecosystems they explore.
Program Highlights:
● Care for chickens, rabbits, goats, and sheep through daily feeding, health checks, and habitat maintenance
● Learn to use real farm tools for garden work, building projects, and seasonal tasks
● Learn through doing – asking questions, testing ideas, and solving real farm challenges
● Explore wild spaces through tracking, plant identification, and conservation work
● Build responsibility and work ethic through consistent farm chores and meaningful contributions
● Develop leadership skills through peer teaching and project management
● Deepen understanding of food systems, sustainability, and seasonal cycles
Junior Farmers helps children ages 6-11 develop real-world knowledge and skills, while building confidence and a lasting connection to the land, animals, and community.
