Regina Sassoon Friedland

Regina Sassoon Friedland is the Regional Director of the American Jewish Committee, where she works to combat rising antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination. She is a frequent guest speaker in both Jewish and broader communities, offering insights on Israel, the Middle East, and antisemitism. Friedland serves on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Washington Advisory Committee, the University of Washington’s Stroum Center for Jewish Studies Advisory Board, the Sephardic Study Advisory Committee of JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa), and the Sephardic Leadership Institute’s Women’s Leadership Committee. She holds degrees in Journalism and International Studies from the University of Washington.
