In the late-summer lull after summer berry picking comes to an end, and before the fall harvest activities begin, I always look forward to the many sunflower festivals our beautiful region has to offer. Wandering among the towering blooms can make for a lovely family outing. I love to snap some pics while my kids marvel at the giant stalks, and we all enjoy a break from the city hustle and bustle.
Here are my favorite sunflower festivals and fields around Seattle that are welcoming visitors this summer and early fall. And be sure to check out the Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival hosted by the Carnation and Duvall chambers of commerce and North Bend Downtown Foundation. Some of the farms listed below will be part of the festival, which runs from Aug. 15–Sept. 15, 2026.
Sunflowers in Snohomish
Dates: Daily, July 27–Aug. 13, 2026
Thomas Family Farm hosts its annual celebration of sunflowers. Tickets for weekday entry include a U-cut option for sunflowers ($3 per bloom), entry into the sunflower maze and strolling the 12 acres of fields. Weekend tickets include access to the sunflower maze, fun park and one bloom to take home. Guests can also visit the butterfly house on weekends (for an additional cost) and feed the butterflies. Additional sunflowers and food items are available for purchase. A butterfly release is planned for Aug. 8 at 12:30 p.m.

Maris Farms SummerFest
Dates: Saturday–Sunday, Aug. 1–9, 2026
Maris Farms in Buckley is a farm well known for its annual bumper pumpkin crop. It’s getting in on the sunflower bounty again and inviting families to enjoy the farm. The addition of zinnias makes for a feast of color. Entry includes access to several acres of flower fields, plus a brand-new butterfly house, makers market, and tons of farm games and activities (including the mega slide, zip lines, jump pillow, ropes course and more). Guests can buy bouquets of fresh-cut flowers if they like, and the farm added Build-a-Buddy stuffed animal stations to the farm this year. Sunflower Days at Knutson Farms
Dates: Daily, Aug. 1–16, 2026
Knutson Farms in Sumner offers lots to do, see and eat at this annual summer celebration. Your entry includes farm animals to visit, kids activities and yes, access to fields of gorgeous sunflowers.
Info: Admission is $16; ages 2 and younger are free. It costs $8 for a U-pick field pass only, where you can cut sunflowers and pay per stem. Book tickets at Knutson Farms’ website.
Mountainview Blueberry Farm Sunflower Festival
Dates: Friday–Sunday, Aug. 7–30, 2026
This sunflower fest takes place at Mountainview Blueberry Farm in Snohomish and features — you guessed it — blueberries! Alongside 25 varieties of sunflowers, of course. Admission includes a wander in the sunflower and blueberry fields, furnishing loads of photo ops.
Info: Admission is $21.95 at the gate. Purchase tickets in advance online for a discount; ages 2 and younger enter free. Add on a butterfly release experience on weekends ($11.95).
Lora Lee’s A-Maze-Zing Sunflower Maze
Dates: 2026 dates TBA
This farm has cooked up not just one, but three mazes through the sunflower fields — staggered to extend the farm’s season. Fun! Bring the whole family (but no dogs, please) to wander through mazes of beautiful blooms. While you’re there, meet the friendly goats, mini donkeys and chickens, and browse the gift shop.
Info: Admission is $15 for ages 13 years and older; $10 for ages 5–12; kids ages 4 and younger enter free. Dates are dependent on the availability of sunflowers, so check the Facebook page for the latest updates.
Rutledge Farm Sunflower Festival
Dates: Select dates, Aug. 15–Sept. 7, 2026
Snap your photos while wandering among the sunflowers and dahlias planted at beautiful Rutledge family farm; a platform provides a unique over-the-fields view. Enjoy kids activities in the courtyard, wagon rides and selecting your special sunflower bloom (included in the ticket price). The farm also has a country store stocked with produce and more.
Info: Buy tickets online in advance. General admission costs $17.50 for ages 12 and older; $11.50 for ages 5–11; kids ages 4 and younger enter free. Additional sunflowers are available for purchase.
Schilter Family Farm Sunflower Experience
Dates: Thursday–Sunday, Aug. 22–Sept. 6, 2026
Find this family farm in the Nisqually River Delta, just off Interstate 5, northeast of Olympia. Entry to the festival includes a wagon ride to the 5 acres of sunflower fields, planted with a wide variety of blooms in a range of colors and sizes. Snap your pics in the fields while the kids enjoy a romp around the playground and other fun activities. Cost of admission includes one bloom.

Bob’s Corn Sunflower Experience
Dates: Daily, Aug. 22–Sept. 13, 2026
Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm, famous for its fall pumpkin festivities, invites families to enjoy 50 varieties of sunflowers planted on 12 acres of its Snohomish-area farm. Wander among the blooms, where you’ll spot antiques and fun family props. On weekends, concessions and hayrides are on offer.
Info: Weekday admission is $15.95 online ($20.95 at the gate) per person; weekend admission is $20.95 online ($25.95 at the gate) per person; flowers and other items for purchase. A discount is offered for seniors and military; tots age 1 and younger enter free. Book timed tickets online.
Sunflower Fields at Stocker Farms

You will discover a sunflower bounty at Stocker Farms in Snohomish, another site famous for its pumpkin crop and other fall festivities. This experience affords visiting families fields of gorgeous sunflowers for photo ops as well as additional blooms available for purchase.
