Join us as we celebrate Día de los Muertos at Seattle Art Museum on Free First Thursday! Art activities and a tapete installation will be available to experience throughout the day. Take part in tours and an artist talk while you explore the museum for free.
Tickets are available both onsite and online.
10 am–9 pm| Unique tapete (Sand Painting) by Fulgencio Lazo

Admire this year’s tapete created by the internationally recognized artist Fulgencio Lazo and his team. This intricate work of art reflects the spirit and essence of Día de los Muertos, showcasing the beauty of life and the joyful acceptance of death as a natural part of it. This year’s Tapete will feature additional unique sculptures that honor organizations active in the Seattle community. Fulgencio will speak about the tapete at 7:30 and 8:30 pm.
