World Wetlands Day

Saturday, Feb. 7 @ 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

World Wetlands Day is a global event that recognizes the importance of protecting our wetland ecosystems. These ecosystems provide critical habitat for many threatened and endangered wildlife, maintain water quality, and support biodiversity.

Drop in Feb. 7, 2026, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center to learn more about how you can help to protect our wetlands. We are partnering with several non-profits and other organizations to provide a fun family friendly event with hands-on activities, crafts and guided nature walks.
