Native American Jingle Dance, Story and Craft

Thursday, March 5 @ 4 p.m.–5 p.m.

Celebrate Native American heritage at the Swasey Branch Library with a vibrant, family-friendly program led by special guest Angelina, a Native educator and dancer. Angelina will read the story Jingle Dancer, perform a traditional Jingle Dance in full regalia, and share the cultural significance of this powerful tradition. Kids will create their own paper jingles and join in a community Round Dance to close the celebration.

This program honors Indigenous traditions through storytelling, movement, and hands-on creativity.

Please note: the sound of tin jingles and drum music may be loud for some participants. Sensory tools like ear muffs or headphones are welcome.

All ages welcome. Come dance, learn, and celebrate together at Swasey!
