Youth Art Workshop: Celebrate Shab-e Yalda at High Point Library

Monday, Dec. 22 @ 4 p.m.–6 p.m.

Join Seattle Public Library & Peyvand Non-Profit Organization for a youth art workshop that celebrates Shab-e Yalda, a Persian holiday welcoming the winter solstice & brighter days ahead, triumphing light over darkness. RSVP required: https://forms.gle/cPDsGtrBPA8By49PA.

On Shab-e Yalda, families traditionally gather to read Persian poetry & epic myths while eating crimson-red fruits. Youth will learn about the science behind the winter solstice and create festive holiday art themed around the night sky and symbolic Yalda fruit.
