Monique Seymour


Dr Monique Seymour is a clinical psychologist and an researcher specialising in child, parent and family mental health, with a focus on families experiencing social adversity. She is Co-Lead of the Intergenerational Child and Family Wellbeing group at Deakin’s Lifespan Institute. Her research brings together epidemiology, family-systems science, and life-course approaches to understand how parental wellbeing, family functioning, and broader social factors shape outcomes for children and families over time. Drawing on extensive clinical experience across hospital, community, and private settings, her work focuses on translating research into practical solutions within real-world service systems.
