Stories and Art – Kamishibai & Japanese Folktales

Discover kamishibai, the traditional Japanese paper theater once used by traveling storytellers, now gaining popularity in America and making a comeback! Learn some Japanese phrases and interesting cultural facts, while enjoying one of Japan’s most famous folktales, Momotaro. Follow our hero as he makes new friends and goes on an epic adventure to Demon Island! Suitable for children of all ages and those young at heart! This story will be brought to life by Lynn Miyauchi (Former Senior Specialist for Cultural Affairs at the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle.)
